HootMonitor is here!
November 16th, 2009. Published under Announcements. No Comments.
After several months of long nights of programming on Red Bull, vast amounts of chocolate and attempting not to neglect my lovely girlfriend Hannah. HootMonitor is finally out in beta form!
So you might be wondering what HootMonitor is. Well to put it incredibly simple its website monitoring for Twitter. But to go into a longer explanation I am going to grab quote from the about page:
Want to know when your website goes down? How about being notified with a Twitter direct message, e-mail or an SMS? How about some statistics too? HootMonitor can do it all. To set your site up just follow the 3 simple steps above (see the homepage for the images). Or watch the video tour below.
This is the first site I have done based on the “Freemium” business model. Basically you HootMonitor offers basic the basic web monitoring service for free, while charging a premium for advanced/special features.
The easiest way to check out HootMonitor is to login with your Twitter/Facebook account and have a look. Or you can see the introductory video below. Or see it on YouTube.
TwitterLeague now out of beta!
December 14th, 2008. Published under Announcements. 1 Comment.
TwitterLeague, the site I created in 7 days from scratch is no longer in an invite-only beta! To get an invite you had to read the TechCrunch article or follow me (@ollieparsley) where you would get a code.
But the site has been tested enough and fixed a few bugs so now you don’t need an invite code. Just enter your Twitter credentials to signup/login. Then create your leagues.
If you have no idea what TwitterLeague is then please read the TechCrunch article that was written about me and the application itself. Then just visit TwitterLeague.com and create a league! An example TwitterLeague is below:
Please check it out and let me know what you think by commenting below

April 7th, 2008. Published under Announcements. No Comments.
This is a quick post to basically a new site of mine is underway! The site is called Twync (pronounced twink). I will not go into the details, they will come later. But the site has been started and will be ready in the next month or so. At that time I will be opening up the service for a private beta session. Then launch into public beta. After that the site will be launched fully. This will hopefully be in time for the Future Of Web Apps in London on October 8-10.
Cheers! Ollie
U-Cast To Support OpenID
February 18th, 2008. Published under Announcements. No Comments.
All new websites should be built to support OpenID. Well this is my opinion anyway. U-Cast will be using a mass of new technologies to push forward the way social networks are used.
One of these new technologies will be OpenID. Now I have my own OpenID simply by signing up with WordPress! So it is easy to get started and will save me creating so may accounts around the web. Now It is still uncertain as to whether U-Cast will host OpenID’s but it will certainly accent new users with that form of authentication.

February 4th, 2008. Published under Announcements. No Comments.
Announced just moments ago by Wil Harris of ChannelFlip, there is a new ChannelFlip application on Facebook.
ChannelFlip is the internet TV channel aimed at 18 – 35 year old guys. Shows include Gadgets, Video Games and DVD Releases. They now get hundreds of thousands of downloads of their shows. Check them out.
Some of you might be suprised, some of you might have figured out my very crappy disguise in a post I wrote a weeks ago! Well what other social network apart from Bebo allows third party applications to be made??
Anyway I hope the application goes well! I will be looking at the stats and you never know some of the users might look up the developer and hire me!
Anyway the secret is out so why not have a look at it!

Fuse Morf Launched Into Beta!
January 29th, 2008. Published under Announcements. No Comments.
That’s right. It got here sooner then I thought. FeedMorf now has a new tool called Fuse Morf. FeedMorf has 2 other tools that are used to “Morf your feed into something else”. This tool is a great addition to that. The tool was launched literally a few minutes ago and will be in beta til some problems are ironed out. They need to be found first though!
But what does the Fuse Morf do? Well You enter up to 10 RSS or ATOM feeds and it will automatically generate a publicly available amalgamated feed. You can customise it to show a specific number of items per feed etc. Check it out.
Please be nice to me, if you find any problems please use the contact form.
Try out the new Fuse Morf!
Cheers

All will be revealed soon!
