About Me
Right a quick description of my life so far. Not that there is much of it! hmmm……
I was born on May 3rd 1986. Born in Reading, Berkshire, UK.
Went to college at Pangbourne College where I got my 9 GCSE’s and my 3 A-Levels including IT where I did the second year on my own as Pangbourne didn’t offer it! But I know from about the age of 15 that I wanted to do something with computers. I just didn’t know what.
My first, and current “proper” job, (after working at a toll bridge!) is at Dorset County Council doing GIS, Geographical Information Systems. It was at this time I started what was to be my first big website, U-Cast.co.uk. Then I started creating DorsetExplorer a web mapping site for Dorset County Council that will hopefully get some awards, It is very highly rated in the County and even at Government level. It was used during the Napoli incident that was all over the news when the ship leaked oil and BMW bike parts all over the Devon and Dorset coast.
At the moment I am doing a degree in Internet and Communication Technology.
Over the last 2-3 years I have created all the other websites that are in the blogroll on the right. My dream is for one of my websites to make enough money for me to live off. I am really inspired by the story of Kevin Rose of Digg, Diggnation, Pownce, Revision3 and general internet stardom! He started Digg in his spare time, it took off, he quit his job and lived off the small ammount of money it made, that gamble paid off and he is now doing amazingly well.
