I Still Hate IE!

Yes I have not stopped my rant about IE. Yet again the reason is that I am designing a header bar for the new Twync website I am building.
My method for creating an app is go to in the following order:
- Create the logo
- Create the colour scheme to match
- Create the header
- Create the footer
- Create the index page with all the mod_rewrite bits and bobs sorted
Then create individual pages, processing pages, javascript and AJAX as i go.
So i got through the finish (well i thought i finished!) header, footer and index page. But…
IE had to go and balls up everything I had done. I got it working in IE 7 last night and then changed on piece of code somewhere on the site and it cut the top off the bloody header! AHHHHH driving me crazy. I have decided that i will display the “Save the developers” banner on the site and just make the site respectable in IE 6. Then focus on getting it working in IE6, Firefox, Opera and Safari. Also the iPhone/iPod Touch sites are separate.
AHHHHH!!!! IE drives me crazy!
Anyway send me happy thoughts! Any Twync beta testers? Let me know!
Cheers
Ollie

Exactly, it is out dated. IE6 tax sounds good. If only I wasn’t working for myself! Hehe.
I am just going to have a look at IETester. Sounds useful.

It’s crazy that we (developers) are still supporting IE6 … it’s nearly 7-years old!
I’ve been trying to drop supporting it for a while now, (since IE8 went into beta), but my clients seem to keep asking for it… so I’ve introduced “IE6 Tax”!
Have you tried IETester? It’s been really useful for me lately!
