The Trackback Effect
March 26th, 2008. Published under Blog Tips, General. No Comments.
Ok so for the first time since I last updated TechJuicer (too long ago! Sorry!), I decided to do a proper trackback from when I read a post on TechCrunch. I know that linking to your sources in a post is common courtesy but I only seem to link to my own sites. With the Save The Developers post I tracked back to the TechCrunch post about the same topic. Then barely a few hours later I looked at my blog stats…
The visitors to that post doubled to total visitors I had to the whole blog in the last 5 days! All from saying thank you to another blog. Now with a big blog this is great technique (amungst others) for getting exposure, but as this is a personal blog I just want to write about topics I care about, mainly sites I am working on, but in this case it might expose me, rather than the content of my blog. It’s all good! I expect to be Page rank 10 by the end of this month!!
Cheerio!

PS Thank you WordPress for having such a good trackback system!
